About this data. Figures are reproduced from the Decor Systems Acoustic Data Pack (2025). Testing was carried out at the open areas and cavity depths listed; nothing shown here is interpolated between tested buildups.
Where a cavity depth falls between two tested depths, the lower-performing of the two tested results is shown, so the figure is never better than something that has been tested.
Decor Systems panels. Tested open areas: 8.80%, 12.60%, 13.10%, 15.80%, 18.10%, 23.20% and 35.30%. Tested cavities: 65, 100 and 200mm, with and without a 14kg/m³ 50mm insulation blanket.
VOGL plasterboard. From the 2023 pack, a separate product — 12.5mm perforated plasterboard, tested per profile rather than per open area, at 65, 100, 200 and 400mm with DecorSorb, or in a ceiling void with AV 2010 fleece. Two profiles share 19.6% open area with different results, so VOGL figures are never read across from the panel data. TOPTEC is published across 18 third-octave bands.
